Super Bowl Sunday at Clifftop Eats
Being the second highest eating day for Americans, behind Thanksgiving, Clifftop Eats is hosting their traditional Super Bowl dinner Sunday Night.
Briar Cliff University’s cafeteria will be displaying the games on multiple screens and will be serving plenty of appetizers from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
“We’re going to have bourbon meatballs, either nachos or this “super bowl” dip that has chili and cheese in it, and about 10 to 15 different other things planned out,” says Ron Ross, the food service director for Briar Cliff.
Planning for a decent crowd, the cafeteria staff won’t have to deal with cleaning up plates and silverware used by the students.
“We’ll do it on paper plates, disposable plates, and cups so the students can wander wherever they want with the plates,” says Ross. “It makes it more of a festive type of deal.”
Since the cafeteria is planning on closing during the game, the staff is planning on bringing pizzaor opening The Grill for students during halftime.
“It’s usually pretty well attended,” says Ross.
Keep an eye out for posters and flyers around campus for any updates.
